Sohier Abaza

Sohier Abaza; received her BSc in Media and Mass Communication from Misr University for Science and Technology in 2007. She worked as a journalist for two years then studied creative writing and teaching. She received her MSc from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2014. Abaza worked as a facilitator with Fard Foundation under the support of UNICEF for Syrian refugees She also worked with Alwan Wa Awtar Organization where she developed and taught a curriculum to motivate children to use their imagination in writing and telling stories. Her story, “The Fly” was selected in the Gouna Festival and is now being produced as a cartoon for children.
